¨      BE DEPENDABLE Observe all policies of the office to which you are assigned (i.e. breaks, lunches, and dress code).

¨      MPS IS YOUR EMPLOYER — Please discuss any problems, salary, and payroll questions with your MPS coordinator. Do not discuss your pay rate with any office staff.

¨      ASSIGNMENTS—The duties, hours and the length of your assignments will vary – you are expected to complete all jobs to which you are assigned. Notify your MPS coordinator when your assignment is completed.

¨      PERSONAL PHONE CALLS No personal phone calls or text messages are to be made during office hours

¨      INJURIES — Notify us immediately if you are injured on the job.

¨      CONTACT INFORMATION — Call or email us when you have a change of name, address or phone number. This is imperative in order to receive your W-2 at the end of the year.

¨      PERSONAL APPEARANCE — Smile and be pleasant. Dress according to the recommenda­tions of your staffing coordinator. Tattoos must be covered and piercings are limited to minimal ear piercings only.

¨      EMPLOYMENT OFFERS — Notify your MPS co­ordinator immediately if you are contacted about permanent employment by an office where you have previously had a temporary assignment.

¨      NOTE:  If you find that temp work is not suitable and you decline multiple assignments offered to you by MPS, we will accept this as your resignation.

¨      REFERRALS — Please refer your friends to us!


¨      HOLIDAY PAY – If you have completed 416 hours during the 12 month period before an eligible holiday, you will be eligible for holiday pay. You must work a full day before & after the holiday to qualify.

Eligible holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

¨      VACATION – For every 416 hours you work during a 12-month period, you can receive ONE day vacation pay (8 hours).  Your wage will be an average of your wages worked to date.

Time Sheet Reminders

¨      Timesheets are provided by your staffing coor­dinator; please make copies for future use. Be sure to complete all information on time sheet (i.e.: name, client name, address etc.)

¨      A separate time sheet must be filled out for each job assignment.

¨      NOTE: Time sheets must be signed by your supervisor and received in our office by Monday at 12 pm (noon) in order to receive a check for the prior week’s work.

¨      Fax, mail, or hand deliver your time sheet.    Fax time sheets to: 1-866-454-1321 (dial a “1” before the number) and fax to 423-622-7331. 

¨      NOTE: It is your responsibility to submit your timesheet to us and to verify that it has been received by calling 423-591-9834.

Direct Deposit


¨      A money card is acceptable.

You will be responsible for providing account information within TWO WEEKS of hire date.  Funds will be deposited each Friday for the prior week’s work.

¨      Always contact your bank to verify funds were deposited to your account prior to  using the funds.

¨      MPS is required by law to withhold payroll taxes and Social Security deductions.

¨      A weekly earnings statement reflecting the amount of your direct deposit will be mailed to your home.  Please retain these statements for your records.

¨      Medical Personnel Services will not be responsible for overdrafts on your account.

¨      If funds were not deposited as expected, please contact MPS for assistance.

Interview Checklist

¨      Please be early for all appointments.

¨      Dress appropriately – uniform or professional attire.

¨      Be neat in appearance. Any tattoos or piercings must be covered.

¨      Speak clearly and confidently. . .no gum!

¨      Ask questions and make notes if needed.

¨      Call your MPS Staffing Coordinator following your interview.
